Stefan Evert

I am a researcher and lecturer (Juniorprofessor für Computerlinguistik) in the Computational Linguistics group at the Institute of Cognitive Science, University of Osnabrück. With a background in mathematics, physics, English and computational linguistics, my primary interests are centered around the application of statistical methods to language data (in areas such as natural-language processing, corpus linguistics and psycholinguistics). The current focus of my research and teaching activities is on the analysis of frequency data from large text corpora. I also enjoy writing computational linguistics software, mostly in Perl, C and R.

You are cordially invited to browse these pages to learn more about me and my research.

The list of publications was (mostly) automatically generated from a bibTeX database by a short Perl script.

perldoc Stefan::Evert is the command that you would use to find out everything you need to know about me if I were a Perl module (and then you'd hopefully want to use Stefan::Evert :-). By the way, you can use perldoc to read the original POD versions of these pages.
