PhD project I am doing my PhD at the Cognitive Science Institute of the University of Osnabrück in Germany under the supervision of Prof. Peter Bosch. My PhD thesis is concerned with the question of whether the rules postulated in linguistics have reality on the level of the mind and the brain. I approach this question from the perspective of the symbol manipulation/connectionism debate. The thesis will be a multi-disciplinary work incorporating theoretical argumentation and neural network modeling. I'm in my third year of PhD studies. Publications Brattico, P., & Määttä, M.
